Food banks closed/hospital appointments cancelled for Queen's funeral

The day is treated like a holiday, so it makes sense that these appointments and food banks haven't open.

What is your solution? Force everybody to work? Just force doctors to work?

Gross but this is the affect of a bank holiday, not specifically the funeral

There ARE more than usual cancellations because of the funeral, those are just stupid but food banks and hospital appointments being cancelled is "normal" for a bank holiday. Not to mention the cost to the economy.

It’s one day that is a week away. It gives people plenty of time to plan and get their food in. As for the hospital appointments - if it was urgent then it wouldn’t be rearranged. Hospitals are remaining open for emergencies. So if it’s deemed that your appointment can be rescheduled, it can’t have been that urgent to begin with. It’s just an inconvenience for some people.

Why? People there really treated her like some diety. Sick.

How unnecessary. I'll never understand why people accept monarchy in 2022.

Didn’t she destroy and end enough lives when she was alive? Even important operations are cancelled due to the witch dying. Insane!

She was 96. People are doing the most. Let’s move on

Why this society have an emotional attachment to basically the government? So bizarre. We would never act this way in the US.
