Memoirs387 Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Just saw it. I really loved it. When it first started, I was like hmmm something feels off but it clicked and by the end, I was fully back in this world and really loved it. A very worthy sequel. 1
Broken Posted June 13 Posted June 13 It's smashing your honor. 'Inside Out 2' Off To Joyful Start At International Box Office; Sets Multiple Opening Day Records For Pixar https://deadline.com/2024/06/inside-out-2-global-international-box-office-1235972688/
OreGuy Posted June 14 Posted June 14 really enjoyed this one and felt very emotional even without a massive emotional pull like they did the first movie.
Migs30283 Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Inside Out 2 is getting a Oscar for Best Animated Feature I fear, but will have to face stiff competition from The Wild Robot.
ALA Posted June 14 Posted June 14 It was pretty good. Didn't hit as hard as the first but I think it had a lot of cool additions.
WildAmerican Posted June 14 Posted June 14 this was good glad to see it's doing well after the mid box office this year overall
Poxy Posted June 15 Posted June 15 This was so good, I totally prefer it to the original because the totally lame k-wording of the imaginary friend annoyed me anyway, Miss Anxiety is a STAR. I related so hard and was in tear by the end
Siberian Siren Posted June 17 Posted June 17 They did such a good job making this film, it's really for all ages, and a lot of the themes hit really hard, especially for adults. Love how it helps illustrate how our feelings and emotions are complex, and perhaps that we should be more compassionate towards ourselves. If anything, it should help people recognize become more mindful of their own feelings. Also, it's really smashing at the box office. Pixar hasn't had a win in a while, and they needed this. 1
Siberian Siren Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Forgot to say that I was pleasantly surprised by what an amazing job Maya Hawke did in this.
Jglj Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Really enjoyed it, it's a good time at the cinema, the new emotions are interesting. I do find it didn't hit as hard as the first one, and I think this movie could've used a bit more time, the 96 minutes runtime is a bit short for how nuanced and complex the topic is. I do know the main target audience is kids, which usually will not sit for something longer than a 90 minute-ish runtime, so nothing much that could be done on that front. 1
Nico Robin Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Guys, I feel sooo stupid... So I was wanted to watch the movie yesterday on my day off, out of boredom had nothing else to do. Went to the cinema, bought a very expensive ticket sat down in my seat and was happy I got the whole room to myself if only Id know whats about to come next... The whole movie was apparently in... russian and I am german So yea I still watched the whole movie since its animated you kinda get what its about but you cannot imagine the disappointment I had on my face. Its my own fault tho! Cant blame no one... Spoiler If someone can help me out finding a much cheaper english version of the movie lmk, iykyk 1
Jotham Posted June 21 Posted June 21 This movie is exactly what DIsney needed considering the company has been struggling recently. Hopefully they can keep up this momentum. 1
Pop Art Posted June 25 Posted June 25 This was good, but it feels...overrated? Like I definitely enjoyed it, but not nearly as much as the first one (especially on the emotional front), and yet this is blowing that one out of the water commercially. I'll have to give them both a watch back-to-back once it hits Disney+ and see if I feel differently. I'm cautiously happy that Pixar is getting such a resounding win at the box office for the first time since 2019, but the fact that it's with a sequel (and their last smash in 2019 was also a sequel) does make me a bit nervous that Disney will push them hard to focus primarily on sequels and things they believe will be surefire hits. I'm definitely not anti-sequel, but I also want more quality originals like Soul, Luca, and Elemental that we got this decade, so hopefully they can keep the happy medium in that regard that they've been doing for some time now. Anyways, I'm definitely looking forward to the inevitable Inside Out 3, just hoping it's more in the vein of the first one and isn't a low key rehash like this one kind of was.
Eóghan Posted June 25 Posted June 25 word-of-mouth is crazy for this 2 hours ago, Pop Art said: This was good, but it feels...overrated? butterflymimi Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I really enjoyed this, the whole cinema my friend and I were in was laughing throughout so it's definitely going down well with the public
