The King also didn't mention the children in his speech. Considering Harry and Meghan didn't decide to use the Earl of Dumbarton title for Archie (even though he was entitled to use it from birth) it will be interesting to see what is done. 

 

There's also the unanswered question about whether the King will go ahead with his plan to change the convention, which would mean Archie and Lili would lose their right to princely titles.

It’s very simple to see why you’ve got hundreds of atrl users and millions of Western liberals offering their condolences to this wretch and why they’re so willing to overlook her and her family’s and country’s crimes against humanity (ironically the same people who will say Putin is the greatest evil on the planet). 
Aime Cesaire writes about it poignantly in his work Discourse on Colonialism which shows the rot at the core of European and Western society and their depraved and brutal dehumanization of colonized ppl. They only couldn’t fathom that Hitler would treat Europeans the same way that they have treated ppl in the Global South which is why they have to exceptionalize him to put themselves on a higher pedestal and absolve themselves of the same crimes against humanity they convicted hitler and the nazis for. The Brits, The USA, the French, the Belgians, the Dutch, the Canadians, The West as a whole were never ideologically opposed to what Hitler did. They still do it to this day across the world.

Firstly, the Brits appeased Hitler and signed several treaties and looked the other way in the decade following up to when he decided to attack him. That’s some fight “against” the Nazis. With slavery and the Native American genocide there’s no 1 name you can easily point to but multiple slave owners/monsters whereas with the holocaust Hitler is the first name that everyone thinks of.

 

We can have a discussion about the Queen benefiting from white privilege and the effects of colonialism but she is not comparable to Hitler who himself ordered the slaughter of Jewish people like

Well she used her global influence to champion worthy causes and condemn corrupt regimes, like apartheid South Africa. Harmless... in the last half century what did she do as Queen to negatively impact anyone's day to day life? I'm legit asking because I've only ever known her as a symbolic, anachronistic relic who held no real administrative power, only cultural cache and influence.
