the forced empathy and high horse from some replies here saying “HOW COULD YOU…”

empathy for someone who is dying can be unearned, and she did enough in her lifetime for me not to give a flying ****.

everybody dies and she is literally almost a century old plus a colonizer. good riddance. take the monarchy system with you.

That comment says enough and is not keeping it cute, y'all are horrible people, hope the mods really ban people who feel the need to be disgusting permabans

Agreed, Harry's apparently already there, not sure about Meghan. The comment that she's "comfortable" is telling too

The emotions :deadbanana4:

Sorry for not feeling sorry for an 96 year old monarch about to croak after spending her life in the lap of luxury while using taxpayer’s money to pay for her pedo son’s legal fees :skull:

British people are so weird about their Queen. Anyone from a country who has been colonised by the British Empire rightfully hates this family. Sorry if offends thou.

The fact that she's not going to the hospital says a lot too. She probably would rather die in her castle than in a hospital. I don't blame her.

I bet all the newspapers/ magazines are dusting off THAT article of her they had ready to use years ago :katie:

Hopefully the monarchy dies with her.

To put her life in perspective, her grandfather was already in his mid 30s when his grandmother Queen Victoria died, who was born in 1819. She's a living link to the past and has been omnipresent in the life of every living person on the planet.

Taking away whatever you feel the morality of the monarchy is aside, this is going to be a world-shifting death.

I wish her no suffering but people acting as if dying at the age of 96 is some kind of tragedy that society should pause for.  Anyone would be lucky to reach that age. There are much, MUCH bigger things to concern ourselves with.

Hopefully this country grows the hell up after she passes, consigns the monarchy to the scrapheap of history and dispenses of hereditary aristocracy forever.

This is true. Especially for people living in commonwealth countries, there is something omnipresent about the queen. She's been queen for as long as 90%+ of the population has been alive. She sort of is the only constant political figure of the post-war era.

It truly is a historic day whatever you think of her and her family.

There's twelve days of mourning but I doubt 12 days off :rip: It will most likely be day off when she dies and day off the day of the funeral.
