Isn’t that “confirmation” she’s dead? Or is that protocol more just rumours.

Probably more than likely protocol, but could also be confirmation too, not sure, we'll be the last to know as "Operation Unicorn" will be the protocol used, Operation London Bridge was the original protocol supposed to be used but she's in Scotland so it's a different protocol.

Fleet of cars believed to be carrying Prince William and other royals arrived at Balmoral, UK media says

(CNN)

A convoy of vehicles containing Prince William and other members of the royal family has driven into Balmoral Castle through the main gate, per live visuals and UK media.

"A fleet of cars believed to be carrying the Duke of Cambridge, Duke of York and the Earl and Countess of Wessex arrived at Balmoral just after 5pm. The plane carrying the royal party had arrived at Aberdeen Airport just before 4pm," according to the UK’s PA Media news agency.

Prince Harry is also on his way to the castle, a spokesperson for the Sussexes told CNN.

I don’t think Charles will use the name “King Charles III” like people may be expecting. The name Charles has had a bad reputation for decades. I think he’ll go by King George VII.

I can be, the queen that's inside of me
This is my chance to release
And be brave for you, you'll see
I can be, the queen you need me to be
This is my chance to be the dance
I've dreamed it's happening
I can be the queen

I would be incredibly surprised. He's well known as 'Prince Charles' and has been for the last 70 years. If he was suddenly to change his name to George, I can't imagine the public reacting positively.

I'm surprised that William was driving the car? I would have expected them to have a driver.

Only so many ways to say she is dead without saying she died.  Odd right now.

Not people already comparing deaths and funerals, only on ATRL :rip:

Diana's death was a SHOCK, a 36 year old beloved celebrity mom at the peak of her popularity who got into a sudden and violent car crash

Not many celebrity deaths can compare, maybe only JFK and John Lennon, globally known figures who also died suddenly and violently

the views have come down because there's nothing new to say really, yet.

They were followed by Royal protection officers and there is probably now so much security in the area that it wouldn't matter too much.

They probably wanted to all go in the same car together, it must be a difficult time for them.
