This timing of this is really unfortunate. Now this is all anybody is going to be talking about for the foreseeable future instead of the real crises our country is facing.

This will go on for a few hours. I fear we won’t hear anything until 8pm BST. Some of the family are not even at Balmoral yet so they’ll allow them a couple of hours with the Queen once they arrive. Then they’ll tell us after all members of the family have had opportunity to see her.

BBC anchor: Balmoral is 50 miles away from the nearest hospital so transport likely not practical even if her condition worsens but she's always had the best mobile care from her medical team there
