This poor anchor having to do plane positions :deadbanana2: The proper accent and tone makes it that much more awkward :deadbanana:

the forced empathy and high horse from some replies here saying “HOW COULD YOU…”

empathy for someone who is dying can be unearned, and she did enough in her lifetime for me not to give a flying ****.

everybody dies and she is literally almost a century old plus a colonizer. good riddance. take the monarchy system with you.

Oop. :clap3:

does this mean we get the day off on Monday here in Canada?

We better. She's our head of state though we never got to vote for that. If there's no holiday here I will fume.

Girl, just don't.

Well, I just did. :celestial5:

OT: It'll be interesting to see if more countries in the Commonwealth will become republic after the passing of Elizabeth. Charles do not seem like a charismatic figure enough to keep some of those countries interested in having him as their head of state.

i feel like she passed away already and the news will break formally later in the day.  a lot of foreign media outlets have already reported her passing but quickly retracted claims.

I don't think the former has anything to do with the latter but the former has happened before and not just with UK royals and I do buy it.

The Palace never makes statements like this unless it is absolutely necessary, so this is a very serious announcement.

The mass influx of Royals and staff to the Balmoral estate is also not a good sign. At all.

So this will be the end of the monarchy.

The only person that would’ve kept everything good after Lizzie was Diana with her charisma even with Charles being king, but Charles with Camila is probably the worst of worst you could place after her legacy.

Imagine a monarchy of centuries and centuries ending with a loser like him :skull:

It would be an embarrassment for the history books.

the way this will probably be one of the most defying moments of the 20s decade

I think she's died and the official announcement will be at 6pm
