Although this list leans heavily towards the present era, it is still an improvement over Billboard's official list. At least Mood is now below Sunflower and Perfect, while Old Town Road is above Girls Like You. I still think Stay's position on the chart is way too high. A 0.65x multiplier for 2022 would be more appropriate, as it would keep Stay below Uptown Funk, and make it more difficult for As It Was to enter the All-Time Top 10.

What is the point of this?

Billboard already named Blinding Lights as the biggest song of all time

The thread title makes it seem as it was Billboard the one that modified the multipliers when in reality this is just an imagined chart :skull:

Disclaimer: This isn't an official Billboard chart. (That's why I placed it under other stats.)

This was only just for fun. Billboard's actual All-Time Hot 100 list was post-2019 heavy, so I was curious to see what would happen if we made the 2019 multiplier 0.8x and the 2020-21 (post-UGC) multiplier 0.75x. I never understood why Billboard increased the multiplier in the post-UGC era. Under the current 0.8x multipler, Heat Waves is nearing the All-Time Top 10. Billboard can't have like half of the All-Time Top 10 be songs post-2019 (a period which currently makes up less than 5% of the Hot 100's history).

so you're just using whatever "multiplier" that gets you your desired result? :rip: by far one of the dumbest posts i've seen here

I'm not trying to get any desired result. All I know is that the current multiplier isn't accurate because there are way too many songs on the list from the 2020's, especially at the top. The fact that Mood was higher than Sunflower and Perfect on Billboard's official list should tell you that something isn't quite right. Billboard should have never lowered the multiplier for 2019, then increase it back for the post-UGC era. I don't know what the correct multiplier for 2022 is, but I know it can't be higher than 0.7, as that already puts Stay ahead of Uptown Funk. The rest of the As It Was run is probably going to determine if it is 0.7, 0.65, or perhaps even lower.

Stop thinking of Billboard as the be-all-end-all of success and you’ll sleep much better.

I can’t imagine the riots from some of you when Billboard moved to allow airplay-only singles to chart.  This whole multiplier this and multiplier that stuff is nothing compared to those days.

all charts are flawed.
