Bang Bang just recently crossed 1 billion on-demand streams in the US

 

 

 

1,000,000,000 / 150 = 6,666,667 units from streaming

 

3,500,000 (pure sales) + 6,666,667 (streaming) = 10,166,667 combined units

The math is correct but we would need a more detailed breakdown of these numbers because streaming numbers aren't weighted the same in the formula : premium / paid streams and freemium ones are weighted differently, audio streams are weighted more than video ones...

They're not tho, thats for billboard only, RIAA's methodology weights them the same, although I agree that the song is probably not there yet, because some of those streams aren't official, it's probably around 9.5M and will reach the milestone soon
