True, its called a war for a reason,if the EU imposes sanctions against Russia ,its only natural for them to hit back. Its a dirty game :cm:

I mean this is what happens, europe, when you become the lapdogs of the US, do their bidding, and try and fight Russia. Now we're seeing protests in Germany and the Czech Republic against the changing economic circumstances as a result of this war.

Russia really is over. Was all of this worth it for Ukraine? :deadbanana2:

You are aware that they are going to sell their supplies to other markets?

Don't get me wrong, but both Russia and U.S. (their governments, not people) are benefiting from the war.

Exactly.

It's extremely hypocritical. Theyre literally funding the genocide of Ukranians

If you think this isnt going to hurt Russia economically you are mistaken. Russia is not the "winner" here.

1) It doesn't have the necessary infrastructure to sell gas to China. People just need to think before commenting:deadbanana2:. 2) It will be forced to sell oil at even cheaper prices to India and China due to the price cap. 3) Russia is heading for a deep economic recession, it's economy will completely collapse as soon as oil profits fall significantly.

You would be absolutely delusional to think that Russia is benefiting from this in any way. The invasion has been an absolutely disaster for them from every possible angle (militarily, economically, geopolitically). The U.S. will indeed benefit from this greatly, but I don't get why you are acting like this is a bad thing since it means that it is incentivized to keep supporting Ukraine.

Russia is shooting itself in the foot there. They think that their mobster tactics will make Europe lift sanctions, but it will only make Germany wane itself off ruzzian gas at a much faster pace than expected. Russia will starve without German $$$. There is no way Germany will launch NS2, so they've just lost their key trading partner. The Greens, who are very high in opinion polls right now, are now advocating for completely breaking ties with Russia, so they won't let Scholz waver.

Russia terrorists won't be able to sell gas to China since their infrastructure was build for the European market, and they will be forced to sell oil at dirt cheap prices to India and China once the EU implements the oil ban in early 2023 and the G7 implements the price cap.

Baerbock recently said Germany was caught in an illusion that it could get cheap gas from Russia, whereas in reality "we have paid for every cubic meter of Russian gas double and triple with our national security."

Meanwhile, the US is already selling more gas to Europe than Russia for the first time, and its share will continue to grow in the neat future.

Amazing! This winter season is gonna be so much fun, I can't wait to freeze to death!

1) One pipeline is already operating. Second one (which capacities should be equal to half European demand) is currently being developed and it is expected to be completed within next two years. In the meantime, Germany will need to pay for the gas till 2030 (even if they don't import the gas). People need to get informed better before they decide to question other people's cognitive abilities.

2) See point 1)

3) I agree that there will be recession; but it won't be as deep as Western media is trying to portray it. Again, see point 1)

Economically - Europe will most likely suffer greatly in upcoming years (and will be torn between U.S. and Russia). Long story short, people will suffer (as usual) while political elites will grab more power and money. It's not that complicated.

Geopolitically - Let's see; this one is bit tricky...

Why are you lying?:ahh: ATRL tankies are so desperate. The construction the “Power of Siberia 2” will only begin in 2024. They have so far only concluded planning for the pipeline.  Germany will not have to pay for the gas till 2030. BASF denied that there is such a clause in May.

This is peak delusion. Russia's economy is being absolutely crippled by sanctions (see this recent Yale study). Bloomberg recently leaked Russia's own report, which shows that its economy is facing a brutal recession.

Europe will likely face a mild recession, but this the price that Germany is paying for relying on Russian gas. Torn between the U.S. and Russia? How? The German Greens (the most anti-Russia party in Germany) are extremely popular right now, Germany's pro-Russia parties (AfD and Die Linke) haven't seen any increase in popularity due to their pro-Russia shilling. They remain niche parties. Le Pen lost in France. Italy's far-right PM frontrunner Meloni is pro-US and pro-Ukraine despite the fact that there are some pro-Russia shills within the Italian far-right movement. Sweden's far-right, which is likely to win the election, is anti-Russia. Poland, Finland, and the Baltics are extremely anti-Russia. Russia recently organized far-left and far-right extremists to hold a rally in the Czech Republic, but this is only a sign of their desperation since their gas coercion is not working.

Their genocidal war has been a complete disaster (from spectacular military failures to economic isolation). Russia has turned into a pariah state that will have no option but to sell its resources to China at dirt cheap prices (a big North Korea). Meanwhile, the U.S. managed to strengthen NATO with Finland and Sweden, increase its presence on the European energy market and increase arms sales to Europe. Poland and other countries have dramatically increased their military spending. Everything went wrong for Russia. Everything went right for the U.S.

Why is the contract still being kept in secret? :)

The problem with AfD is that the mass media and public opinion research agencies completely undermine the significance of alternative media; Don't be surprised when they outperform in upcoming elections (Bavarian ones, yup).

It's too early to tell - but the picture will be much clearer in upcoming months. In general, Europe is going to face a significant rise of extreme right parties in upcoming years which definitely leaves the doors open for Russia's influence (Balkan Region is being most problematic; and as Ukraine, it is rich with lithium)...

Sanctions/funding would’ve happened either way, no western country is just gonna sit back and do absolutely nothing while Russia invades Ukraine. :skull:

And if they didn’t and the economy was still fine people complaining about the effects now would definitely be mad at their country not intervening.

And there goes Putin’s last card.

It shows just how desperate Russia has become, and that the EU is finally in a position of strength. Now it's time to pack on some more sanctions.
