ARTPOP (and Joanne) are more forgotten than any Madonna album, why?

Rainbow was mostly made in 2014, years before Joanne

But wasn’t released until after Joanne

Madonna albums from 2012 to 2019 would like to have a word with you.

Of course, because she wasn't allowed to.

The Confessions Tour - 6 weeks

Sticky & Sweet Tour - 4 weeks

Madame X - 2 weeks

MDNA World Tour - 1 week

Finally Enough Love - 1 week :gaylorcat2:

im not going to argue that ARTPOP is more remembered than any 20th century madge album but its for sure more remembered than MDNA, Rebel Heart and Madame X and arguing its not is just embarrasing on your behalf tbh. Yass ARTPOP! Album with a top 5 hit that went #1 :clap3:

Not you being desperate enough to use live albums....

Madonna's albums are remembered because they're amazing. Confessions alone takes a massive dump on artpop and it's not even up for debate. The only reason a small group of people remember artpop is because it was so awful it left a huge imprint on their brain that scarred them for life.  :bibliahh:

Nobody, even her real fans, want to remember of Hard Candy, MDNA, Rebel Heart and Madame Autotune.

At least Gaga came with a vision, a thing Madonna can only use with facetune.

and what vision was that exactly? If that's the best she can do she needs to give up music completely and stick to chasing accolades since it's the only thing she excels at.

Girl I was trying to bring up Joanne’s influence. Why you gotta bring Gaga down when she was trying to help Kesha?

Pointing out that Joanne did not "influence" Rainbow as a matter of fact is not "bringing Gaga down", it's simply the truth.

ARTPOP, love it or hate it, has actually built a cult following over the years. If it's forgotten, why is Pitchfork revisiting it in 2022?

I wonder if there is anyone who wants to remember MDNA, Hard Candy, Rebel Heart or Madame X :rip:
