On a side note, kinda messy how everything unfolded for the new constitution, yes it was a mess and rightfully was declined by pretty big margin but going back to square one with dialogue mostly shut down is just... :biblio:

I've read a bit of the new constitution and it seemed quite better than the one at place right now. But i'd love to be educated on why Chileans are oppossing the change!

What if the CIA threatens to destroy Taylor's career forcing the Swiftie President of Chile to give their lithium reserves to US companies? :dancehall3:

She will personally fly via helicopter to the Pentagon and say "nu-uh hunties!" and then triumphantly fly into the sunset while popping a PrEP, downing it with a gulp of LaCroix.

From what I see online, the false claim that it would "legalize abortion up until the point of birth" was a major far-right talking point to get anti-abortionists to vote against it. :doc:

It's not nearly as bad as the right wing fearmonger, that's for sure :rip: but it does weaken private property and would lead to a collapse in health care if not done right and the changes in pension system were not it, while also being harder to change than the current one. Most of the proposed fundamental rights are already protected by human rights in international treaties (which have as much weight as the constitution itself).

The clowns like Jose Antonio Kast (the republican candidate last year) using this to celebrate is just :bibliahh: these 7m+ people WON'T vote for you omg :bibliahh:

I've heard that they were selling the proposed new constitution on the streets but on an adultered version meant to outrage the readers enough to vote no when the time came too. The far right played this one well. It's gonna be a challenge for the left to fight all the rightwing shenanigans. They know every trick on the book
