Out today!

anyone seen it? And is it better than falling for Christmas

it's cute, quality wise it's in line with FFC (same team behind it) but she gets a bit more to do here, better cast and personally it's more fun because those xmas overload romcoms are a bit much for me outside a watch or two (but I've seen some ppl say this is worse so I guess it's sujective)

meaningless for this type of movie as already discussed with FFC but surprised it got to 63% on RT (19 reviews) I expected like Madame Web #s after seeing some of the reviews earlier :skull: I assume it'll prob still drop like a rock but the way it's a better score than many of her 00s movies :rip:

I'm kind of sad it's not universally agreed on that it's miles better than FFC. I have yet to see it, but trailer made it seem much better. And then I've read reviews online that are pretty bad so its RT score at 57% currently is actually amazing (tho I hope it ends up above FFC).

Anyway her Netflix deal was great for her  career and I can't wait for the last one to drop so she can fight her way back to cinemas. And I hope she starts as supporting,

yeah this deal has done what its meant to, idk if she needed 3 whole movies like this :skull: (the next one does have a veteran director and more established older cast so we'll see how it goes) but it was a comfortable way for her to get back into it, establish she's professional and can still be charming on screen.

the fact it's on the biggest streaming service also gives a lot of exposure and the press tours particularly have been pretty great for her image/to show how well she's doing nowadays too. most of the negative reviews I've seen still make a point of mentioning she's charismastic and is above this type of project so hopefully it serves as a stepping stone for other work, it's all up to her (and her agent I suppose lol)

The movie was definitely more polished than Falling for Christmas. I enjoyed it a lot, Lindsay is an undeniable star to me so she elevates everything she's in.

I loved this one, the story was lovely and Lindsay was great in it.

This was way better than Falling for Christmas, hopefully it's a stepping stone for Lindsay to get bigger and better projects because there's so much goodwill out there for her right now

I loved it, watched it with my date! Much better than Falling for Christmas and Lindsay looks amazing in this!

Where is the thread mentioning how successful this is doing and topping Netflix charts?

Love this one too, much better than Falling For Christmas, Maddie and James / Lindsay and Edward had great chemistry.

its outperformed FFC in the US apparently

however we don't want this doing TOO well or Netflix might offer her another deal doing these :weeps: (which might be better than nothing but I'm hoping Disney throws something else her way since the FF sequel is in the works at least)

I understand the reactions its getting but I see people (I'm people) revisiting this way more than FFC in the future like some of her 00s romcoms that have been a bit reassessed too like this def has Just My Luck vibes

Just watched the movie, i liked it far more than FFC, this time they had budget. LiLo worked it like she was doing Oscar baiting movie but everything else was just typical cringe cheap netflix production that I avoid by all costs/. That witch oh my god, every time she was on screen I cringed.

I'm happy Netflix gave her platform to come back but I just can't wait for het to be done with them, I want to see her in a real movie. With A listers not these Z-listers.

I wonder if the script was written by a Hallmark/Lifetime movies writer. It was cute, but very predictable x

i actually liked FFC a lot more than this :rip: couldn't even finish it

FFC at least had a somewhat interesting plot, this one was just predictable generic garbage with 2 of the blandest male leads ive ever seen :rip:

I thought it would be mid but...

This was actually surprisingly fresh and nice

I truly get proven how Lindsay is still such a star quality girl. She's so fun
