Roger Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Olivia Lufkin (stage name: OLIVIA) has finally released her (almost full) past catalog on streaming platforms after asking her on social media for more than a decade to finally make the songs available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and other services. For those curious about who she is, is a bilingual artist on the cutting edge, sub-label of avex trax. OLIVIA was born in Okinawa, but has lived in the U.S. for roughly six years. Her music sound goes from experimental/alternative rock pop music to electronic music. She's better known for singing the ending theme song to the anime adaptation to Yazawa Ai's manga NANA, "a little pain". She released a full length album for the music played by Reira, one of the anime main characters. Anna Tsuchiya, in the other hand, released an album for the other main character: Nana. Sadly, she still has no unique artist page on Spotify and her music catalog is scattered in two different Olivia's artists pages, one for an R&B singer named "Olivia" and other one for another singer named "OLIVIA". Also, her NANA music is in a third artist page named "OLIVIA inspi' REIRA (TRAPNEST)". There are two mini albums yet to upload on streaming services, but almost everything else is now available. If you are into J-Pop with alternative rock influences, this artist is made for you. Rumor has it that she's making a comeback this year with her first music release since 2012's release of "CALLING -KINDGOM MIX-" for the Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance soundtrack. Here's some of her music, check her out:
Roger Posted August 31, 2022 Author Posted August 31, 2022 (edited) I highly recommend you all to start with her GREATEST HITS album which is her latest full release from 2010 Edited August 31, 2022 by Roger
Roger Posted August 31, 2022 Author Posted August 31, 2022 10 minutes ago, confide in me said: Wish >>>>> Even though I have a big soft spot for her most experimental and alternative projects (mostly her first two albums) I must say that her bets body of work is The Cloudy Dreamer. So so so many bops in that album.
Schoolin' Life Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 I don't usually comment in here but this deserves huge YES! Olivia is so underrated. I remember when I bought her GH CD and I was devastated that even if greatest hits are usually selling the best in Japan, she couldn't even pucharki 1k first week... And one of these ended on my shelf in Poland, Europe. Why Japan doesn't love her?
Schoolin' Life Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 OMG the even have Comatose Bunny Buther and other minis that I couldn't find phisycals for anywhere But why doesn't she hsve her own artist page on spotify?
