REALLY excited for this, the concept sounds sooo good and I was thinking earlier:

It’s insane to think she’s releasing another album in the midst of her third imperial phase 16 years into the game, after blowing all the other girls out of the water with two surprise albums, a third AOTY win and two re-recordings that felt like new albums all in the last two years  

She didn't release multiple covers this time, but:

atrl takes things so literally  she obviously just wrote songs after reflecting on some of the tough nights she's had in her life

The way we THOUGHT folklore was another peak but it was actually just the start of another upward trend

It could be a combination of the two and that really isn't unusual.  She might have gone through her vault, found a handful of tracks about the same subject and used that as a launching pad to write more songs for the album?

 

I mean, Ellie Goulding's lead single out right now was made in 2017, so it's really not strange to see something like this.

Or she wrote 13 new songs instead going back and using scraps 

I don’t want the song titles to be dates but it would be cool if she gave us the dates the songs were about/written in the album liner notes or something

I’m thinking she’ll release original studio albums this year (Midnights) and 2024 (TS11) and do the remaining re-recordings in ‘23/‘25. The hardest working woman in pop!

This is so exciting, I was not expecting a brand new album anytime soon but alas. She really knows how to surprise us 

don't know if this has already been mentioned or not (my apologies if it has) since I keep getting 503'd into oblivion but the picture she posted may not be the cover art after all...

the grids are aligned, maybe she'll reveal the cover as a grid? I keep hearing people on tiktok theorize over September 16th so that could be when she'll post it

it probably just means it'll be updated with the tracklist once it's revealed instead of saying "track one track two track three" etc. it is definitely the cover

Wow, what a pleasant surprise!  Always excited for new Taylor music!  I just hope there are some upbeat songs, I love Folklore and Evermore but I really need some bops!

Now Let's just hope she gives us a nice single in the upcoming days

I actually love the cover she put out (if that is it). It screams perfect for vinyl.

It will look so good as vinyl, plastic wrapped  I can already picture the TEXTURE

She may have gotten inspiration for these tracks while re-recording but these are not gonna be vault tracks  She's obviously still going through with them so she'll need those in the future. Unless you think these are Lover rejects
