Spotify updates are okay-ish. Apple Music has increased a little bit from the playlist push (its also weekend now, when she always tanks a bit there), but yeah. I dont think it will do much. But I also dont know what would be a better choice. I cant see Midnight Rain working on radio at all. Bejelewed they already tested a bit on radio and everything else... Idk i was joking about the 1 billion thing but i don’t think lavender haze has received push (payola ) on radio yet. radio updates are not good but for a song that isn’t an “official single” yet, they’re alright i guess. let’s see what happens in the upcoming months and see if her team actually does something about the song.
YellowRibbon Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 She'll get nice boosts once she announces the international dates. Come on Taylor!
FightDragonsWithMe Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 It's so gross how Taylor would be more liked here if she were making "urban" music
TaylenaStan Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 (edited) There are no hits left on mid, but lets be greatful about Anti-Hero smashing just move on to Speak Now (TV) and push Enchanted (TV) to #1... well if Flowers continues to smash like this gotta wait a long time until the #1 is possible Edited January 22, 2023 by TaylenaStan
YellowRibbon Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 According to the same Argentinian Newspaper, Taylor is touring Curitiba, Saõ Paulo and Rio De Janeiro after Buenos Aires. It also says that Santiago, CL is the other likely destination in South America
Michael196 Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 the album just hit 3.5M in the US AH is at ~2.5M LH/MR/Maroon are eligible for platinum and the rest of the standard + WCS for gold

bxtbxt9797 Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 Midnight Rain should be next. It’ll smash outside of the US where radio doesn’t matter. This era is her opportunity to expand on her global success, so I wouldn’t care too much about the US

She has never gone there on tour so I think she really has potential to grow a lot and bring new audience. I'd love if she could do a lot of dates there with The Eras Tour, but I'd settle for 4 in Brazil, 2 in Argentina and 1 in Chile. Then Mexico would be really important too. Midnight Rain wouldn’t go over well on US radio imo but it seems like global audiences are here for it… Judging by the streaming performance and how well it did globally on official charts and Spotify, surpassing other album tracks which debuted higher first week in many charts. I’d willingly take this song smashing in Europe and globally and bombing in US if we had to pick bc she already has AH which smashed everywhere (esp US) and LH which will probably be a cute hit at least in the US.

All Too Well bled her money and social battery dry!

I think the industry is very different from 10-12 years ago when she developed her worldwide strategy. Yes, those markets will not be as profitable as the US (particularly LATAM) but she NEEDS to start cultivating an audience. Sadly I think she worries about optics too much so she wouldn't tour places where a stadium sell out is not guaranteed. Not touring Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru this time around would be SUCH a bad business move. Look at how Dua Lipa has been able to foster that touring audience in LATAM by touring there and doing festivals. Didnt she have like 60k people in Mexico City? Maybe Taylor wouldn't be able to do it right away if she were to tour there with the eras tour but she definitely could the second tour she takes there (and everywhere else in LATAM). I'm just tired of her not taking chances when it comes to touring outside the US, Australia, and the UK. She lost the momentum she had built up with the Red and 1989 Tours when she limited the reputation tour to just stadiums. Who cares if she has to do smaller venues in those countries? She just needs to actually go there to build up an audience that WILL go to her shows every time she goes to those countries. She could successfully do arenas all around LATAM, continental Europe, and Asia and even some stadiums in selected cities, but she wouldn't like the optics of not embarking on a solely stadiums tour because I get the feeling she thinks it somehow diminishes the scale of the tour which is STUPID. I know she's also said why she doesn't want to tour extensively anymore and being 17 years into her career I understand where she's coming from, but she's literally losing out on a booming market in LATAM which is why im saying its a bad business move to not tour Mexico, Brazil and Argentina at the very least 22 minutes ago, Holiest Dreams said: This is a pretty fair point, she’s expanded rapidly on a global scale this era, mostly in Europe which was where she “needed” to. She needs to take more chances when it comes to promoting her music to larger scales globally. Who cares if Midnight Rain would not perform well on US radios, it very clearly has garnered a lot of interest amongst the streaming audience. She should just push it hard and target other countries outside the US. Getting a cute staple streaming hit that gets 1M daily streams eternally is what she needs to aim for (kind of what DBM has done and cruel summer and august in a much smaller scale). To add to my rant, the good sis needs to stop the cringey interludes in her music videos. Her music videos have really gone downhill since 1989/lwymmd. She needs to start serving expensive pop exquisiteness, not cringey pick me energy like the interludes in bejeweled, the man, and anti hero. Her team has really gone to the pits in the last 6 years or so idk what happened
Ms. Togekiss Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 inb4 the LH music video also has some weird interlude it looks like a fun pop music video, I really would hate for her to ruin it with another useless interlude that diminishes the mv replay value. Also, what is with her and her goddamn need of including silly lines in her songs or straight up duds in her albums? Why can't we get a classy pop album with no gorgeous, lover singles, question, etc. I look at pop albums like Future Nostalgia that flow very well without ******* cringey and silly songs and even the odd moments (like good in bed and pretty please) aren't as egregious as half of puta and lover, and most recently question, bejeweled, vigilante **** and Karma (a bop that only needs better lyrics aka get rid of the ******* cat line). I'm tired of having to put up with subpar silly songs that take away from the album, and it feels like theres always at least one extremely silly song in her albums except for folkmore. It IS possible to have feel good / party songs that aren't silly in case she didnt know that I have so much more to say but let me not lose my mind tonight End of rant
