it's just a tired old predictable political move on erdogan and his government's part, finding ways to eliminate the last secular artists left from the 90s/00s. they hate seeing a free woman choosing to wave rainbow flags and expose her body while singing her songs in front of humongous audiences (gülşen still is one of the most popular artists in turkey, she held up since the 90s), and think this will make everything better for their cause—which is complete brain-washing of ignorant muslims and turning them into their lobotimized weapons.

 

i hope she gets justice soon, along with all the other wrongfully convicted artists, politicians and journalists here
