This. There was even a clip I saw once of Chris Brown licking a woman's leg onstage.  

R&B is known for being an extremely sexy genre, even more so back in the 90s and 00s, so it's understandable attractive performers would bring this type of energy. I find it a bit too much, to be honest, but it does seem the fans were aware of what they were getting into beforehand, so it's fine in my book.
