Ok but someone said the label isn't gonna invest...

HUN what investment they literally just got 20K pure copies sold with zero investment lmao.

Sending Demi to perform on flop late night TV shows is not investing, that's free and just Demi's efforts.

They only sent one song to radio this entire era lol, and I'm pretty sure sending a song to radio is free.

They're not paying any money, and this also isn't Demi's last album with Island. I think Demi renewed the contract with them. I'm pretty sure TAOSO was supposed to be the last album. They give Demi complete creative freedom and Demi likes them bc of that.

Everything is free!

when it comes to Island Records "promotion", yes.

That is what you call investment? A label producing physical copies of albums for fans to buy LMAOOOOOO that's bare minimum.

And Demi is generating them revenue with the recurrent streams from previous eras (even TAOSO is doing OK, at ~600K a day). And the tour. And Island is an extremely small label, they are lucky to have Demi.

If this prediction holds true and it's around 35K, Demi did okay for what they were given, it could've been way worse.

I really don't see Island or Demi leaving one another.

You’re confusing investment with promo. I’ll leave it at that. All of these things had cost and you are here projecting that Island gave zero without any factual ground as if this was solely written, performed, produced and distributed by Demi. She had a team backing her up in every step of the process, even the bad promo you are here talking about. She’s not indie nor self-made

and yeah almost half of your pure sales in one year with lower streams is a bad sign and not to blame on the streaming era lol it’s a demi problem

Madonna debuting in the Top 10 is fantastic, considering I heard it would be between #20-30.

1. Demi's producers/songwriters on this album are literally indie creators and Oak, who is a close friend and collaborator of Demi

2. The TV performances I will reiterate are free. You don't pay Ellen (for example) or Jimmy Fallon to perform on their show. You both are mutually benefiting. You promote your music, and they provide entertainment.  This artist whose album debuted #121 on BB 200 performed same week as Demi did. Literally music guests on these late night shows are irrelevant

3. It's the 2nd album in one year lmao, everyone knew this would do WORSE than TAOSO. No one was expecting 70K like TAOSO did, not a single soul.  I'd argue the short time between albums worsens your chance of success bc Demi just had a comeback album literally last year.

5 decades of top 10s is wonderful for Madonna

Meh, who cares the album is brilliant EASILY her best one, I hope she sticks this sound that made her so famous

The way Demi actually expanded the fanbase with this release, I've seen so many metal and rock fans who never listen to Demi support and praise the album:jonny:

Even Meghan McCain was stanning  :jonny:

Ultimately what matters!

Now of course I do hope it does end up debuting with 30K+ and top 10 debut, or we could boost it to 40K hopefully. That'd be solid.

No way Madonna’s going top 10, queen. I didn’t even think this would reach the top 25 :rip: plus the fact that the album is $25, it’s just insane. The fact that she’s doing the same numbers Demi’s doing is so embarrassing for Demi. Not a 64 year olds dusty compilation that’s $25 outdoing 30 year old Demi’s album, that’s full of gimmicks.

Madonna's compilation album is a 50 track album, 50 number ones (HUGE)... she deserves that's insane! I don't think thats embarrassing for Demi, the fact Demi is doing around Madonna's record is great!

Both projects are projected to do solid.

#1. Here We Go Again — 109K
#2. Don't Forget — 89K
#2. Confident — 98K
#3.
Demi — 110K
#4. Unbroken — 96K
#3. Tell Me You Love Me — 75K

#3. Dancing With The Devil — 74K

After being cancelled for the frogo scandal/singing to ufos/ announcing being non-binary, all the hate campaign and also shifting to punk rock (which isn't as popular as POP) 33k seems good to me.

Her career was literally over last year :rip:She's on a good path imo

was? :rip:

A whole lot of projection. So close friends and indie creators are not paid? Just Max Martin and company? These people work for other people. If they are handing time for Demi they are getting a cut.

do you even know who is Angel Olsen’s management? She has one of the best of the indie world and she’s doing great for HER circle, since she’s actually self-made and never had a machine backing her up. She’s been securing great promo for an indie act since My Woman.

Music guests are booked. You need good management, and she has Braun, one of the best and most expensive in the business, which is not paid from ether either and is gettin a cut as producer on this record. If the money is coming from Demi she needs that tour (which is also for free by lovatic logic??) to sell and this album to perform well. TMYLM streams ain’t revenue to support this. What brand deals is she securing to cover that? If Island was trash and it was 100% on demi, she’d have gone indie by now and just signed a distribution deal and finance the rest. Of course there are other people’s money in the middle and she needs to recoup. But yeah heard meghan mccain is a fan right?? lmao some la la land ****

Such a Downgrade from the previous 2 albums. Title track is the only song I liked on the new one

Not this outselling Familia which had an Ed Sheeran collab that was a HIT around it's release.. Along with playlisting, payola and TTH.

If Demi had TTH and playlisting for the album tracks, she would've done +70k easily. Plus it is not a mainstream genre.

This is actually not bad all things considered.

TTH and playlisting would not have gotten this above 70k LOL, let’s be real now

It would be close actually. I did the math and if they playlisted many album tracks + TTH placement it would increase the overall streaming units crazily by approximately 28k units which would be at a bit over 60k.

Your math is incredibly off then.  This thing was never doing above 50k

The thing is a masterpiece but ok

I am sure it was definitely going to do above +60k with the right digital promo.

Have a good night:heart2:

That's pretty decent for her.

The real shocker to me are Panic at the Disco's #s. Now THAT is tragic.

WOW! Thats not bad. I kinda wished they did more but they had a 4 year album gap between ATOST and TMYLM and then switched genre's and audience in less than a year. I wanted at least 50K. I dont think this or TAOSO is gonna go gold ruining her gold album career streak.

with no playlisting it wouldn't lol
