If demi’s fanbase came through with stronger pure sales she could go all the way to #5-#4.

Panic has truly flopped to oblivion. Critics hopped on it, but the complete disconnect from the audience to the music is jarring. T

No way Madonna’s going top 10, queen. I didn’t even think this would reach the top 25 :rip: plus the fact that the album is $25, it’s just insane. The fact that she’s doing the same numbers Demi’s doing is so embarrassing for Demi. Not a 64 year olds dusty compilation that’s $25 outdoing 30 year old Demi’s album, that’s full of gimmicks.

Honestly thought Demi would do 50k, didn't she just do like 75k last year? :rip:

Madge :clap3:

Bad Bunny better end that racist :clap3:

#1. Here We Go Again — 109K
#2. Don't Forget — 89K
#2. Confident — 98K
#3.
Demi — 110K
#4. Unbroken — 96K
#3. Tell Me You Love Me — 75K

#3. Dancing With The Devil — 74K

After being cancelled for the frogo scandal/singing to ufos/ announcing being non-binary, all the hate campaign and also shifting to punk rock (which isn't as popular as POP) 33k seems good to me.

Her career was literally over last year :rip:She's on a good path imo

Wow Madonna's album top 10.

I predicted 35k, so this is about what I expected. The second week drop might be brutal.

Cmon Megan - still in the top 10. We love to see it

Beyonce stability is also amazing, serving longevity!

Sorry but it was the lack of hair and lack of tiktok presence

Also the mix of this album is so pop, the writing and melodies are so pop, which is fine but its the same old same old ngl

Ok but someone said the label isn't gonna invest...

HUN what investment they literally just got 20K pure copies sold with zero investment lmao.

Sending Demi to perform on flop late night TV shows is not investing, that's free and just Demi's efforts.

They only sent one song to radio this entire era lol, and I'm pretty sure sending a song to radio is free.

They're not paying any money, and this also isn't Demi's last album with Island. I think Demi renewed the contract with them. I'm pretty sure TAOSO was supposed to be the last album. They give Demi complete creative freedom and Demi likes them bc of that.

Nobody is going to have a meltdown over 40k. It’s actually exactly what a lot of us expected because y’all are a loud fanbase. And yes: there was investment. Nobody booked Demi because she’s just Demi. What type of delusion is that? Nothing is free, especially past your peak. How were the videos paid? Y’all have been dropping the whole week that this is her last album for Island and what a flop label that is and she should go somewhere else.

pick a narrative. All over the place just as your fave.

She also gave them the biggest ratings since JUNE

LMAO what literally no one said this is Demi's last album with Island. No one knows that information at all. We thought TAOSO was, no one is even questioning whether Demi is still with Island or not after HF bc it seems their relationship is stronger than ever.

Also appearing on a TV show is free. It's called being a guest. The TV shows need people to perform and to interview. "Past your peak" do you see who Jimmy Fallon interviews and who sing at his shows, it's not even crazy for Demi Lovato to do that. Demi is still a huge celebrity and generated a lot of talk with this album.

Quick what is the investment?  Two music videos, both of which are low budget?

What did Island Records physically spend money on?

Panic went from a #1 (180k) to a #14 (23k) :rip:

Not haters now claiming Island records is investing SO much in Demi, as if it's Camila. Camila's label gave her TTH, extreme playlisting, radio payola, and she still flopped lol. Demi's gave nothing but TWO music videos (which is standard, even indie artists are shooting music videos all the time lmao). And shipped Demi around to self-promote (which is VALID) but is still not investing.

Demi's label gave absolutely nothing. The same amount of support that they gave Sabrina Carpenter: nothing. And both Sabrina and Demi did well enough for what they were given! Imagine just selling based on the goodwill of your fans and casual listeners, many of y'all faves cannot relate in this industry/playlisting/payola-driven world.

Are the physicals being printed by themselves for free? Do you even know who is Jimmy’s target audience? It’s the older generation that consumes the sound that Demi has been emulating right now. That and the younger tiktok crowd that enjoys pop/rock are the only demo she’s been targeting this whole era.

y’all flop and wanna cry indie

All the promo this era got is Demi's late night TV performances (which is hard work on Demi's end by the way) and two music videos for the previous singles.

That is it, no playlisting, no radio deals, nothing money-wise

I said exactly that. The difference between our opinions is that you think it’s a great thing that her label is investing less than forever upcoming sabrina carpenter, while I disagree. You are also projecting they get more than what they spend which you don’t know. We’re here in the charts talks to discuss numbers. I think it’s bad because Demi had a strong fan base not long ago and that has jumped ship. She’s been in the business way longer than Camila, a person that is not a standard for anything in this world and is being used here for a quick battle of the flops ☠️

That is what you call investment? A label producing physical copies of albums for fans to buy LMAOOOOOO that's bare minimum.

And Demi is generating them revenue with the recurrent streams from previous eras (even TAOSO is doing OK, at ~600K a day). And the tour. And Island is an extremely small label, they are lucky to have Demi.

If this prediction holds true and it's around 35K, Demi did okay for what they were given, it could've been way worse.

I really don't see Island or Demi leaving one another.

Meh, who cares the album is brilliant EASILY her best one, I hope she sticks this sound that made her so famous

Based on the current numbers projected (which I still do not know how much this data is complete), pure sales went from 38K to a presumptive 21K... how is that insane "jumping ship"?

It's just streaming that's a lot worse bc this era didn't have any moderate hits like the TAOSO era did or high profile collaborations or high profile event of a "comeback album" or a documentary attached to it.

The music is speaking for itself, and honestly no one in this fandom expected a commercial smash AT ALL.
