Renaissance indeed

Now let's congregate and appreciate the trio that paved the way for black women to slay the #1 spot on the US Hot 100.

Between 1964 and 1967, The Supremes, Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson and Diana Ross racked up 10 #1s:

- Where Did Our Love Go

- Baby Love

- Come See About Me

Stop! In the Name of Love

- Back in My Arms Again

- I Hear a Symphony

- You Can't Hurry Love

- You Keep Me Hangin' On

- Love is Here and Now You're Gone

- The Happening

(the group overall would score 12 #1s after Cindy Birdsong replaced Florence).

- Love Child

- Someday We'll Be Together

5 consecutive between 1964-65 and 4 consecutive between 1966-67.

This is kinda left-field, but it's so weird. Sometimes I see glimmers of Florence Ballard in Beyoncé. The poise, the regal, refined vibe, her smile, and some of B's faces during live performances. Do y'all believe in reincarnation?

Faith Evans is the closest to a (visual) Flo reincarnation
