Golden Hit: Season 2
 

The season of writing continues! Following in the footsteps of the inaugural season of Golden Hit in May, ATRL's newest hit writing tournament is back for its sophomore season. In homage to writing tournaments prior, Golden Hit aims to find and award ATRL's top talent. Do you have what it takes to be a Golden Hitmaker?
 

@fountain and I are incredibly excited to bring back Golden Hit for its second season, after its humbly successful and creatively fulfilling debut. What new challenges and inspirations await in this new instalment?
 

Golden Hit is simple in concept: each round, writers will be presented with unique challenge prompts designed to inspire song lyrics to be submitted for review by Golden Hit's judging panel. Providing detailed feedback through personalised reviews, our panel will assign each song a score out of ten. Scores are averaged across the panel, determining each song's final score and rank. In Golden Hit's finale, scores from each round will be combined and averaged, determining each writer's final overall score and rank for their Golden Hit journey. What will yours be?

Returning to Golden Hit's judging panel for Season 2 are Golden Hit's founders and co-hosts Aurora and fountain, while Season 1's joint victors 8thPrince and Jackson join our new four-judge panel!
 

📀 Season Overview 📀

New challenges will be posted weekly each Saturday, with submissions due by Thursday. Judging will occur in between, with results for the prior round announced each Sunday. Extensions may be granted under certain circumstances. Season 2 of Golden Hit will run for six rounds.
 

Any writer who signs up for this tournament has a place here from now until the very end, should they wish. Additionally, new writers may join the tournament at any point, despite missing earlier rounds. If, for whatever reason, a writer doesn't submit for a round, this is okay! Simply put, there will be zero eliminations in Golden Hit.
The non-elimination formula is integral to the Golden Hit experience.
 

Golden Hit is essentially a creative playground or boot camp—it's whatever you want to make of it. Whether you're a newbie writer looking to learn some songwriting basics, an amateur hoping to hone their craft, or even an experienced songwriter aiming to take a risk and explore new territory, there's a place for you at Golden Hit! This is a chance to be as competitive or non-competitive as you desire. Isn't that just golden?
