E coli has been around for years and it’s mainly spread from spoiled food or touching surfaces and not washing hands

So sick of the disease fear porn since Covid started. This wouldn't have even been in mainstream news if it happened in 2019. Now every damn case of the stomach flu gets media coverage. It's sickeningly dramatic

This isn't the case at all though. You'll probably see this on your local news (which was always the case) and it's the CDC job to report on things like this. Blame online people who seek out these articles so they can circle jerk about how the 'Earth needs to kill us all' and other overdramatic ****. The media isn't latching on to these things any more or less than they did pre covid. Monkeypox obviously being the exception. There's been like 20 random ass diseases posted on atrl that I've never heard of again outside of that thread

True you right actually. I should've said online spaces rather than mainstream news. And you hit the nail on the head with the "earth needs to kill us all" BS. Even the OP adding "another one" is soooooo extra considering this disease has been around for a long ass time. The lack of education combined with attention seeking is worrisome
