xfreshkidxx Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 (edited) Megan consistently doing these numbers this early into her career and her fans want to call other female rappers "fads" The album is still decent though. Edited August 14, 2022 by xfreshkidxx
Stellar1103 Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 It's not bad Megan. She is finally out of her deal with 1501.

Future was paid 250k for his verse on her single too. It's always the label's fault when the artists flop (sarcasm). Megan has had label issues yes, but she's also had enough time and visibility to at least garner a base who will support her projects. That hasn't happened so far despite multiple tries and things being thrown at the wall.
NEUTRON Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 15 hours ago, Otter said: The thing is Megan has never been huge, she had Savage and WAP. To me, people fall into a habit of projecting people onto their peers even though they're on a complete different trajectory. Good News did less than half of Invasion of Privacy. So if that's considered her competition I don't think she's ever been competing. It'd be like expecting Miley to achieve Ariana numbers, or expecting Rihanna to achieve Taylor numbers. It'd be a shame if she peaked already but also feel like Megan's real authentic sound isn't something I expect to be topping BB100 on a frequent basis. She just needs to be consistent with quality and she'll build a solid fanbase to support her. I agree. I was expecting her sound to evolve and elevate, not peak like this. Nothing she's released since Fever & Tina Snow has been great. She needs new producers ASAP.

1989 Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Underwhelming numbers for Megan, but I understand the situation. The album is great, though.

Renan90 Posted August 16, 2022 Author Posted August 16, 2022 TOP 20: RIDING THE WAVE Rod Wave’s Beautiful Mind (Alamo) debuts at #1 this week as Megan Thee Stallion’s Traumazine (Atlantic) opens Top 5. In addition to the top slot, Sony will have the Top 3 albums on the chart this week—including Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti (Rimas) at #2 and Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE (Parkwood/Columbia) at #3—and five of the Top 10 with Harry Styles’ Harry’s House (Columbia) and Future’s I NEVER LIKED YOU (Freebandz/Epic) at #7 and #8, respectively. Ger Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Rod Wave is smashing AM, not surprising, numbers are definetely awesome! Bunny, decrease now. Not so bad numbers for Thee Stallion. Olivia perched in the Top 10 where she belongs, and these out of touch people calling her a fad.
Blue Rose Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Megan’s numbers going up and up. The word to mouth is really working because the album has zero skips

imabadkid Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Meg’s numbers are actually good considering the album was somewhat of a surprise album and she dropped it with no hits
