KatyPrismSpirit Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 yes cause taylor totally invented love interests in a music video

The Next Day Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 (edited) Wildest Dreams' video is based on old romance films, that's what Joseph Kahn said himself (it's also based on nostalgic colonialism but that's another story). This is just another example of the same source of inspiration. Edited August 11, 2022 by The Next Day

Cleanromantic Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 This is the second time wildest dreams MV is copied . One of the best MVs of the last decade. And the oth running in here as usual the MV is about the making of a movie, and it's obviously copied here.
Robyn. Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Um? If anything it reminded me more of Roar than Wildest Dreams. And this concept has been done before
MotoPapi Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Her image is so inconsistent. No identity as an artist.

Cleanromantic Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Not her even setting the MV in the 50s, same as wildest dreams, and copying the outfits .

It can't be copied if it's not original. First example that came to mind was Lucky by Britney but there are many more

The sets are the same, the scene in the bed is the same... Edited August 11, 2022 by Cleanromantic
sxhunluv Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Not the african colonial fantasy being remade again
rooby.booby Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Rightttttt. So if this is a copy... can i say that Taylor copied Fergies's "Glamorous" ?

A music video about the making of a movie is not a Taylor concept, which is what you implied in your first post. And no the outfits and landscape aren't even remotely the same. A music video about the making of a movie set in the 50s with co stars falling in love and having an affair in a tent is a Taylor concept. They're wearing safari outfits and it's set in an exotic location. The way you oth will twist yourselves into a pretzel just to undermine Taylor's influence is very weird.
Taylena Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 (edited) When you're "no impact" and "local" but even singers from Brazil are copy-pasting your MVs. Edited August 11, 2022 by Taylena
Cleanromantic Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Just now, swissman said: what about this video suggests the 1950s? has anyone ever watched a film from the 1950s? Is it... because she's wearing gloves? The clapperboard that reads 12/7/1952
terrorblade Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 it does look somewhat similar only the background is swapped for the jungle in Katy's Roar MV
