As a fan, I'm very proud of her achieving her seventh number one album  and knowing I've contributed to her first week sales.. but, I'm saddened to hear that she's the first woman to have a #1 album this year (it's giving 2013 teas ).

You're absolutely right.. we can at least say Beyonce can still move albums BUT times have increasingly changed for the music industry. Even though, Adele and Taylor still sell very well.. it's half of what they use to sell (due to the current consumer market).

I'm very concerned about people bringing up Taylor in this thread. Taylor is huge. But so is Bey. Their lanes don't overlap at all. It's literally Adele, Taylor and Bey (and Rihanna) with a heavy footprint on today's music landscape. Bey just happens to be the oldest which is a distinctive accomplishment.

She'd slay even more. But on the Bright side, her waiting to release the visuals will give the era an entirely new 2nd wind & help it serve longevity

I can agree with that... I think being able to focus on the auditory experience has helped me appreciate the album more.
