I was so excited for this but I think they overhyped it, to me they set the bar too high with HYLT and I didn't feel this hit as hard. The music video is amazing but again the hype for it being the most they've spent on a video didn't click, again their other videos are also super elevated so it didn't feel different this time, like nothing next level IMO.

This literally happens with every other artist. The thing is in your first you were implying that it's objectively bad but there's no such thing as people here have different tastes. I personally said some pages ago that the chorus was confusing at first and the outro is bad.

I really still fail to see how this compares to DDU/Kill This Love/How You Like That. This would have made sense if Pink Venom was another "noise song" as some would call the other sisters. The song's structure is exactly what works for BLACKPINK so I don't understand why some of you want them to change that. Lisa is always gonna be the main rapper, Jennie is always gonna switch between singing and rapping, Rosé and Jisoo are the group's vocalists so you will never see them attempting a rap verse or something else. 

 

Now the video IS indeed very similar to their recent ones and the editing made it worse imo. Perfect example of big budget =/= the best music video. Lovesick Girls was x100 more enjoyable despite this one having waaay better looks and sets.
