Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 I don't know why people calling this song another D4/HYLT rehash when PV is basically a noisier Whistle to me
Mandalore Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Does anyone know what's the difference between the exclusive box sets and the regular albums?

So I don't know if these box sets are worth it yet, unless they ship earlier than the vinyls in which case it's tempting.

I don't think all photocards will be in the vinyl package tbh. I only pre-ordered the vinyl too, I will buy one exclusive box set in september. Edited August 21, 2022 by Lalisa
queendom Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 I can't believe how well this is doing. Really exceeded all my expectations tbh. Now let's just hope we bag a RAK later tonight or tomorrow.

camilizer Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Pink Venom is already their #1 song on Spotify
The Last of Us Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 (edited) I don’t understand how so many people on this website can say this song is the worst song of the year. It’s either trolling due to some weird jealously, or severe delusion. They love the new Beyoncé album, which is one of the worst mainstream albums I’ve ever heard with grating vocals and no distinct melodies. It’s like somebody just pressed random keys in GarageBand and called it a day. KKKTRL need to stop lecturing people on ‘good taste’ when they stan the most basic pop girls known to man. Pink Venom is far from the worst song of the year but calling Renaissance 'worst mainstream album' is straight up wrong

Okay now you're going way toooooooo far omg Vigo's Groove alone shits on Pink Venom. You have no right to speak about grating vocals when the mixing for Rosé's & Jisoo's vocals make the pre-chorus almost unlistenable on speakers. Just because some people dislike the song doesn't mean you have to get back at their throats, especially when you say non sense like calling Renaissance one of the worst mainstream album you've ever heard I think the problem is that Pink Venom sounds like the result of Teddy putting the most well known Blackpink's clichés in a blender (similar structure, the oriantal instruments, the noisy outro, the weird onomatopoeias during the chorus and the outro). I still enjoy Pink Venom, and it's definitely not the worst song released this year one you get used to it and appreciate for what it is worth, but I expect something more original for the second sigle. Re-read what I wrote. I didn’t say that. I said it’s ONE OF. O N E O F. And I stand by that opinion. It’s on the same level as Britney Jean, but at least Britney Jean gave us Alien.
MingYouToo Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 In my honest opinion, I dont mind the drops. Personally I think they all slay. D4, KTL, and HYLT are all structurally identical but I love all of them, truly. Im willing to bet a lot of the anger towards BP being Teddy-fied (aka basic trap beats with a chorus drop) is that YG let them release D4, KTL and HYLT back to back. Isolated individually, all of these drop songs are absolutely bangers left right and centers. Maybe its because I grew up around the EDM and trap era of the early to mid 2010s both in western and K-pop but these are absolutely great songs by themselves, Teddy has mastered a formulaic banger and there's nothing wrong with it. I just know if D4 was followed up by Dont Know What to Do (which is literally another common YG staple in terms of structure, literally a Waiting for You or I Love You rehash by 2NE1) as the lead instead of KTL people wouldnt be complaining. Or if KTL was followed by Lovesick Girls instead of HYLT no one would be complaining and I'm sure a significant portion of the base would be 'HYLT SHOULDVE BEEN THE LEAD!' YG obviously wants to release a hyper uptempo track to hype up the audience for the comeback of their acts so a typical Teddy formula should be expected. If BP's 2020 lead was Bet You Wanna or any strong melodied pure pop track a lot more people would be complaining. This is a formula that has been tried and tested so stop complaining and bop to it!

Listen, seriously thinking that Renaissance is on Britney's Jean's level is a wrong opinion and delusional. It's not even funny, I'm actually quite disturbed to hear you say that. Please relisten to Renaissance because no one is going to take you seriously with this kind of takes. Britney's Jean was dated on arrival, has bad production, bad vocals, unbearable autotune while Renaissance is literally the opposite (both have terrible lyrics tho). Britney's Jean is the Ice Cream of mainstream pop.
