Germany: RENAISSANCE #2, best since 2003

If it wasn‘t for overpriced box sets Bey would‘ve been #1 :weeps: she was #1 on iTunes & AM the whole week

Still, her best-charting album since Dangerously in Love in 2003 which hit #1.

She's repeaking your honor! :clap3:

**** Ms. Berg :weeps:

but she is a mammoth so whatever. But #1 would have been a dream

She deserved #1, but releasing the same week as Andrea Berg is almost like releasing together with Taylor Swift in the US, so it's whatever. Her repeak is much more important and hopefully she can serve longevity:clap3:

See... That's what happens, when you deliver quality. But I feel like this music is way more accessible (to the EU GP) than basically all her albums since 4.

don‘t the box sets benefit her because the charts are revenue based or did they change them?

I'm actually surprised that I Am... Sasha Fierce is her lowest charting album in Germany at #17 :rip:

It's so weird for me because the album had massive singles there, four top 10 songs to be specific.

It debuted relatively low but the singles helped push the album a LOT since it spent more weeks in the charts (70) than any of her other albums. It had a massive resurgence on the charts in May 2009 and February 2010 (re-entering the Top 30) as well as a minor resurgence in August 2009.

Damn Andrea Berg :rip: but still an amazing result regardless. Hopefully at least 3 stadium dates in Germany on the next tour!

2000s album charts in Germany were like the battle of the titans. Especially November-December when album sales were massive which is when she released IA...SF.

Also Germany was never big on r&b acts and her status was far from how it was couple years later

Yes they are still revenue based. I meant Andrea Berg‘s various editions and box sets (CD, 2 fanboxes, vinyl, a Walkman edition :rip:) prevented Bey from going #1

According to Media Control, Renaissance did 75.6% of Andrea Berg's figures.

Not Bey being blocked by the Bad Bunny of Germany :jonnycat:

Oh so close but fantastic either way!!!

She would’ve probably bagged the #1 if the collector’s vinyl wasn’t out in Sept/Oct, it’s extremely expensive in Europe and Germany is revenue based :deadbanana2:

I guess but wouldn't that help the album to re-peak? I think it deserved to be a top 10 album considering how huge she was at that decade.

yeah i remember helene fischer outdoing adele despite adele outselling her by a massive margin bc her album was like 12€ and helene had like 4 different sets that were like 70€ each :rip:

Her competition was sadly unbeatable from the get go, but a Top 3 on the German album charts is a win for any MPG regardless.
