But Rena is way above

And honestly it’s good to see karma manifesting

The monsters were horrible to Beyonce all this era

Wait, Renaissance really ended up getting a 93 on MC?

I should be fuming but LocalCritic is so irrelevant it's tragicomic.

Besides, anybody with at least 2 active brain cells knows that Bey and meritocracy are two parallel lines and never intersect.

Like, imagine the ratings had Bjork, Erikah Badu, Janet or Kate Bush released an album like that. :bibliahh:

This is not the case for people who read backwards.  39 is in fact NOT better than 97.

Who even trusts metacritic? It’s become gentrified and more worthless than rotten tomatoes.

Beyonce could release an album filled with recordings of her taking a dump and it would get 90+ ratings and endless praises... on the other hand if any other girl released Renaissance it would most likely get mixed ratings

Chromatica is only for the gays. Renaissance is made almost entirely for critics.

you can really see that yt gays have no knowledge of ballroom culture and THAT’S why y’all think Renaissance isn’t good. go educate yourselves PLEASE. y’all are so used to generic dance music you aren’t even aware when something phenomenal is right in front of you

So when I get education my taste gets worse? Interesting logic

Girl beyonce can burp and fart on a disc, and the critics will still give it 80+

I just know you’re fuming this week so hard because you rushed to every Beyonce related thread to call her a flop, and this week she is literally outselling, outstreaming, and out acclaiming your fave, and that’s without bundles and features from the 2 biggest streaming acts in the world :bibliahh:

1. Hope you’re feeling better

2. I wouldn’t call it a meltdown so much as stating facts :cm:

3. Hope you enjoyed Renny while in quarantine :gaycat3:

What was the Gaga's part supposed to show? :rip:

Both parts sound horrible.

The more we keep giving into threads like these (and I'm part of the problem as I sit here and type), the more they will appear.

I will add this: Beyonce has released projects that were scored lower than Gaga's. That's not to take away from Renaissance's critical acclaim, and I absolutely love the album, but let's be more level-headed/impartial here.

Dangerously in Love scored a 63 on MC while The Fame scored a 71.

B'Day scored a 70 while The Fame Monster AND Born This Way scored a 78 and 71, respectively (whether you consider TFM or BTW Gaga's second album is your call/pick, according to Gaga herself).

It wasn't until B was on her 4th album that she was a critics' darling.
