Metascores are weighted averages where Metacritic assigns more importance, or weight, to some critics and publications than others, based on their quality and overall stature. They range from 0-100, with higher scores indicating better overall reviews. Any album with a score of 81 and above is categorised as universally acclaimed per the Metacritic index. Here's a somewhat comprehensive list of the female POP artists (as in, female artists who make popular music) that managed to score universally acclaimed albums throughout their careers.

*Please note that Metacritic was only launched in 2000, so albums from the 90s and earlier aren't included.

Remix and live albums shouldn't really count for these given they only get reviewed by a like... 5-6 critics and often the most biased/easy ones.

Two female artist of the decade reign at the top!

Ps. I hope this put an end to "Beyoncé is overrated" claim because she has the acclaim and commercial success.
