Parents Gwenny Blanckaert and Marino Vaneeno, from Belgium, have only used A, E, L and X when choosing what to call their brood of seven girls and four boys. The couple are expecting baby number 12 - a boy - in April 2022.

 

Eldest child Alex is 13, followed by Axel, 12, Xela, 11, Lexa, 10, Xael, nine, Xeal, eight, Exla, five, Leax, four, Xale, two, Elax, one, and six-month-old Alxe.

 

Two years ago, Gwenny, 32, told HLN they named their oldest son after Marino's stepfather because they thought "it was a beautiful name".

 

"The name of our second son became Axel and after that we started puzzling," she continued.

 

She later added: "We realised that they were the same letters, so we decided to continue like this."

 

Earlier this month, the proud mum then told Dutch publication De Stentor the couple are "over the moon" as they await the birth of their next child.

 

"Right from the start we had set the bar at twelve. And we will stick to that," the mum said. "The day that we sit around the table with twelve children, our family is complete."
