So much about all the people who keep saying that the brain-deadness happening in the US won't spill over to Europe. Yet again people underestimate human stupidity and hatred for anyone that isn't a straight white man.

 

Just like how Trump inspired a right wing wave across Europe, the current anti-woman and anti-LGBT stance in the US will spill over across all of Europe

It may seem like a copout but American influence is real, in all facets. I mean this whole site's premise was all about TRL and now US-centric pop culture and look at how many people were and still are members and live outside the US.

The trans backlash did not come from America though. Britain has traditional feminists in large numbers. They were always going to push back, in fact, you see more feminist pushback in the UK than in the US.
