Lol what?  Examples? Beyonce was anything but alternative/political until very recently, when it became cool to do so.

Very recently as in 2011? Because that's one of the many times she's been political.

You're absolutely right!

Back during the B'day era in 2006 Beyoncé wasn't flanked by two gay dancers in makeup for her Freakum Dress video.

And in 2008 Beyoncé didn't have two effeminate gay dancers accompany her to dance to Single Ladies on the Tyra Banks show...

But yes, Beyoncé started giving the gays props JUST recently.

But go off. Please.

HDD totally sets her up :toofunny2:

how many times did they overestimate debut number?

there is no way Beyonce challenged Taylor and Adele in album sales

I love the album

but I know it's not for everyone

To be honest, the vinyl isn't widely available and it didn't come with visual this time. She also refused to promote so...the number is still good tho.

Is this the best you could do?  A blink and you miss it music video moment, and a one off performance?  Not sure why you mentioned Gaga at all, when this is nothing compared to Born This Way (an actual risk that harmed her career). Beyonce was never some gay rights advocate and that's okay.

She still has one of the best debuts this year, and another one in the bag. Queen!

You quoted me about queer references in her MUSIC and VIDEOS, I provided several examples, simple as that. Nobody asked you to move the goal post.

Beyoncé is still one of the biggest gay icons to emerge out of the last 30 years. There's a reason she's consistently referenced by the Queens on Drag Race as an idol and influence. There's a reason her music is played non stop in gay clubs the world over and there is a reason gay men have always had an affinity to her, one EVERYBODY has noticed.

And you're well aware of this, as we all are. At this point you're just arguing for the sake of arguing.

HDD always try’s to appeal to stans even when they don’t have to lie.

Beyoncé has absolutely nothing to prove, especially sales-wise, but continues to exceed with her artistry.  :clap3:

Exactly lol, she's just following the trend. The gays were following her, and she was ignoring them.

She was pro-LGBTQ+ during the B'Day  era, in 2006, when it was taboo to embrace anyone who is classified under non-heterosexuality. It could've damaged her career, but she still opted to take the risk. In Freakum Dress, one of the backup dancers was effeminate.

That aside, my understanding was that HDD FALSELY believed that the vinyl and CD sales would be included in the 1st week, but for some odd logistical reason those were NOT registered and computed for the album debut week? Consequently: it can be argued that she does, in fact, technically have 500k or above in 1st week sales. I wonder if there's anyway we can truly figure out if that's actually the case. If the numbers for the 2nd week are suspiciously enormous, then we can logically deduce that PART of said number should have been computed the week prior. The only issue is, how do we mathematically guestimate the said amount that should've been applied for the 1st week?

Can anyone confirm or debunk this whole fiasco?

Yes. The number is good indeed

Imagine 20+ years in her career and still on par with Kendrick, Abel, Harry :clap3:

It's hard to ignore them when you're featuring them in your music videos and live performances. But you know that, you just wanted a bit of attention. So here you go! :heart2:

LOL!

You had examples provided and you still moved the goal post. B'Day was the gayest albums.

She was also called a Satan that is trying to turn black men gay by people in the black community but that's another topic.
