If rich people bother you so much move to North Korea or Cuba. The irony being that Cuba has far passed the medical innovations of places like the United States, but for things that actually materially matter, like research into various cancer treatments and deadly infectious diseases. But in the US billions will be funneled into drug research like so a man can have an 8 hour erection that then makes the company who doesn't develop it but who owns the patent on it billions themselves in profit, this being more "impressive" than using medical innovation to make more people healthier and live longer, more fulfilling lives.

Too bad those “medical innovations” are not keeping the people out of the perpetual misery they live in.

BlackStar_93 Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 It is so gross that people literally have billions sitting in accounts doing nothing and just amassing interest while there are people in the world who struggle to even get clean water and meals on a daily basis. Unfortunately, I think a lot of people (particularly in the Western world) are complicit in capitalism and making the rich richer by supporting worldwide, corporate monsters like Apple and Amazon, for example. It's basically a massive contradiction to criticize the rich and capitalism if you own an iPhone, shop on Amazon, eat at giant food chains like McDonald's, and support/watch 'celebrities' like the Kardashians (to name a few).
