My boyfriend and I are lowkey kinda nervous about catching it at the Chromatica Ball since we'll be in the pit where skin-to-skin contact is inevitable, but as I understand it, it's not easy to get the vaccine (in the US)?

Y’all are so dense. This is an airborne disease.  You can catch it at any club or concert with an infected person in attendance.

Check your local state’s health department website!

It's important to note the vaccine isn't a monkeypox vaccine, but one for smallpox they hope offers similar immunity.

 

Since I don't club & am happily celibate, I won't consider the vaccine until monkeypox is more considerably widespread.

The virus may also be transmitted by respiratory droplets expelled by an infected patient who comes into physical contact with another person.

When the vaccine is readily available, sure. But NY is only advocating for sexually active gay men to get vaccinated at the moment.

The fact that it’s going to spread massively among the GP and the gays will continue to be blamed because they were fed propaganda that it’s an STD when really the gays were just more likely to be in close contact than straights so it spread among them first
