That would take a very long time. I’m sure if they can, they will and renegotiate.

 

This publishing deal she has definitely needs to change, I’ve never even heard of a publishing deal tbh and how they can dictate whether you get paid for your work or not…

I think she would have a strong argument that they were made without her consent/under duress. It would be good for her to start fresh with a new label and publisher because they were obviously complicit in what was going on. There’s no way RCA especially didn’t have any idea what was going on.

Under the cship, the conservators represent her so the contracts are valid. It doesn’t matter about consent, essentially, she wasn’t even a person.

 

If they do manage to get the cship declared illegal or abusive then I do think they have a very strong argument to rip up old contracts. However, this is going to take many years.

 

I would love it if she completely started fresh or even just set up her own label for complete control.
