Whatever it takes, the conservative movement must liberate America’s children from the captivity of these boxes, teachers, unions, what they’re doing to our children and to our country is incredible.

“This is a matter of national survival if we don’t fix this country is going to be in a very sad state,” he continued.

He also called for a “strict prohibition” on racial and sexual teaching in the classrooms. Trump said:

Our country has never been in a position like this before – happened all in a short period of time across the United States. We need to implement strict prohibitions on teaching inappropriate racial, sexual and political material to America’s children in any form.

He also pledged to “keep men out of women’s sports,” alluding to the nationwide debate about transgender athletes competing in women’s sports.

The right is really pushing this anti-queer rhetoric and Trump is going to lead the charge this next election season. Adding monkeypox to this is basically creating a perfect storm for them and I'm honestly really scared where this is going to lead.

It's not clear, because the most recent epidemiological modeling studies I'm seeing Google links to are from 2020, even when referenced in published pieces in scientific journals from just two weeks ago. It's not technically an STI but is most often spread through sexual contact. I imagine in the case of young children it could also spread from contact with parents.

 

It's not a "gay disease" in the same way AIDS isn't technically a gay disease but we in the gay community need to get our **** together in taking it seriously and doing more to stop the spread.

This was expected. Be prepared for these bigots to come full force, demonizing the community in ways that take us back to the 80s. 
 

What really doesn’t help is the way I already seeing gay men turn this into a joke. I saw one TikTok where the guy in the vaccination line joked about it being full of gay men who were at the same sex party the night before. Im sure most of the men on that line were not, and he recorded all of these men who were just trying to be responsible and safe. It’s just so distasteful and embarrassing for the rest of the community who don’t participate in these type of parties/acts. No one takes anything serious anymore. Or the trite “I should be safe I’m on prep” jokes. Like stfu. Idc how pro-sex/promiscuity you are, but the addiction to risky sex even during an epi/pandmic is a disease in itself and to go as far as publicly joking about it when you can just keep it to yourself is whole other level of no shame or self respect.

If the R0 is that significant lower than covid 19

I blame the left. We had decades to saturate our friends and families with facts; straight people are the number one sexual abuser on the planet in every country! Straight cisgender men are the number one abuser of cisgender women in every country! Straight men are the number one child molester in every country! But does the average person know that? NO.
