H100: About Damn Time #1, Running Up That Hill #3, BREAK MY SOUL #7

The way ATRL has downplayed Lizzo's success and panned ADT as a bonafied flop upon release, now she's collecting another #1 song before some of the self-proclaimed versatile superstar faves on here have. I have to laugh. Never underestimate the dark horse. :gaycat2:

2022 really does belongs to Lizzo, Kate Bush and Beyonce. :foxaylove2:

Lizzo did great

Lizzo is doing amazingly well - not surprised atrl is trying to downplay her.

So Happy for Lizzo! She really deserved this number #1. In a perfect world,”Break My Soul” and “RUTH” could reach #1 in the coming weeks!

So happy for Lizzo. If there's any song in the top 5 that deserves to topple AIW it's ADT.

Weeks in Top 10

36: Heat Waves

16: As It Was

15: First Class

12: WAIT FOR U

11: About Damn Time

9: Me Porto Bonito

8: Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)

5: Jimmy Cooks

4: BREAK MY SOUL

3: Late Night Talking

Heat Waves really needs to go. I’m so tired of these 30+ week Top 10s.

i agree.  "Units" are stupid.  Billboard created them cuz the music industry collapsed.  So, in order to make it not look so bad, they let free steams of songs count for both single SALES and album SALES.  Make it make sense.

The formula is based on how many streams equal the revenue of a traditional album sale. At the end of the day the label is making the same amount of money regardless if the units come from streams or sales.

Radio will probably take ages to catch on

Radio's weight on the charts is slowly increasing, I have noticed radio listernership has gradually grown during the latest months, and while this happens, streaming numbers are weak right now, the number-one song there is pulling 21.2M streams only right now. So yeah, radio is playing a big role.

Now, time for Lizzo to re-release Rumors and for the GP to give it the attention it deserved

Where is I Like You? I’m surprised it’s not top 10. Seems to be doing well across all metrics?

Watch out for Steve Lacy

It gives me huge "back to school" / "September" #1 hit song tease.

Bad Habits spending a 56th week on the chart :dies:

I'll own up to it - I thought Lizzo was going to be Megan Trainor'd. The album debut is a bit underwhelming, and I'm still not convinced there will be more hits from the era, but the dominance of ADT is truly astounding.

it’s not over yet. Meghan’s 2 singles and 2nd album debut were not bad at all.

"No" debuted high then dropped like a rock, and "#MeToo" had a cute lil run but nothing great. ADT is already 4x bigger than both of them combined.
