slw84 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Whatever monsters threads made about Beyonce triggered? It's clear that both sides are guilty of the same behavior. But yes Grace Jones. I hope there are some dope collabs on the album.

WHITNEY said that? It seems like many of the most influential music legends just don’t respect Gaga.

Seeing these white gays downplay her legacy and impact over trivial bullshit like Billboard #s and a Shammy only speaks to how out of touch the average ATRLer is.
YellowRibbon Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 This thread is EMBARRASSING. Why do y'all keep comparing a music icon and the greatest performer alive (THE BEYONCÉ) to an elderly-exploiter chanteuse that loves to cosplay Madonna?... So unnecessary and purposeless Grace Jones might be harsh with her opinions but she's usually right in most of her opinions. There has always been a certain aura of "annoying pretentiousness" surrounding Lady GaGa ever since her debut and you can feel that from a mile away, some people love it, others (like me) hate it and that's fine. There's no need to jump into RACIST comments to defend your fave over someone else's opinion.

Discussing pop star and their image, Houston said: "If you look behind a lot of the people that are out there that are wearing these, you know, weird clothing... I've just seen for myself there are some extremely gifted and talented young women out there who don't have to put on Halloween costumes, just be themselves. A little extravagance, a little flair, a little sexiness or sultriness is cool, but some of them are simply very dark." Gaga biggest idols and influences, according to herself, are Madonna, Grace Jones, Prince, David Bowie and Whitney Houston Not a single one of them liked her. Prince even went on to say that she was one of the worst things happening in current pop music and implied that she bought her Billboard Woman of the Year award in 2015 with money from her Born This Way Foundation Edited July 22, 2022 by zino
DirtyPony87 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 It’s funny how some legends absolutely love her and some absolutely loathe her. I think they all have their different reasons. Gaga was definitely a polarizing and controversial figure at the start of her career, and everyone was giving their “take” on her or being asked to do so in interviews.
MadOnHer Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Jesus... I wasn't aware that Grace had dragged Gaga this hard!!
Lady Claire Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 I doubt Gaga is losing any sleep over that since she’s busy with her sold out stadium tour, but honestly good for Bey! I know the song will be a bop

Daydream Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 The monsters can't even deny that Gaga's idols didn't like her, because Gaga herself admitted this recently in the Chromatica era. Remember she said that she wanted to embrace younger artists like Ariana and Blackpink because when she was new in the business, she didn't get any love from her idols.

Jay07 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Isn't Beyonce the most awarded female in Grammy history? What is this essay-length fan fiction about her not being respected? Also, if you think that a song about being proud of being Black in the midst of an epidemic of anti-Black police brutality is try hard and desperate, then that says more about you than her.
Solaria Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Instead of discussing the same artists over and over again, come show love and support for the new icons in the making
dopamina Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 that was a long time ago, gaga is much more respected now maybe grace changed her mind? who knows

Comedor Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 First time I’m hearing about this beef. Grace Jones is ruthless.
