What more action do you expect? As a congresswoman — which is her job — she already helped pass the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2022 literally four days ago. Do you think that AOC has the power to get Schumer to force a Senate vote?  And then the power to make Sinema and Machin vote yes on it? Not happening!

 

It's well-documented how even other Dems don't want to work with AOC because they see her as too progressive. And yet people expect her to move heaven and earth with her VERY limited power as 1 of 435 members of the House. She is writing legislation, doing amazing local work for her community, running her personal social media as a way to educate people about progressive causes, and people still want to **** on her constantly for "not doing enough." It's ridiculous.

So true. As a progressive who was inspired by Bernie Sanders vision, I’m supremely disappointed in the Squad’s inaction.

They could have withheld their votes in order to put forth their agenda, but didn't to appease the moderate Dems and surprise surprise they got nothing out of it. They don't know how to play politics. For example withholding their votes for Nancy Pelosi in order to force her to bring M4A to a House vote. Instead they did none of that and just voted for her anyway without getting any of their agenda moved forward. It's not just AOC that's disappointing it's the entire progressive caucus that are ineffective. They just talk.

There's a difference between making Palestine the main focus of her work (as if she's not trying to put out a million fires a day since her election) and being "a shill for Israel." Maybe do some research and try to approach topics with nuance.

If there werent a **** ton of people there and she wasnt AOC they would have put her arm down and probably tackled her. No its not an over exageration, speaking as someone who had been in trouble with the law countless times since i was a juvenile.
