Shakira — The Sun Comes Out World Tour (2010-11) — 42 countries The show visited 75% of South America, 42% of Europe, 33% of North America, 6% of Asia and 2% of Africa Some fun facts: The most extensive tour across Europe was Lana Del Rey's Paradise, covering 55% of the continent. From Portugal to Russia, Norway to Turkey, the singer did not miss a single region. Shakira toured North America the most extensively: The Sun Comes Out and Oral Fixation visited the United States, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica. Shakira also had the most extensive South American tour with The Sun Comes Out, covering 75% of the continent. For non-South American artists, however, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue had the most prolific tour legs. The singers offered shows in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela. Beyoncé and Katy Perry had the most extensive Asian tours; The Beyoncé Experience and Witness both covered 18% of the largest continent in the world. Other than the usual Japan gigs most artists book, Queen B and Perry also performed in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Macau, China, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and Singapore. Touring Africa is definitely complicated. However, P!nk, Tina Turner, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga and Shakira managed to book a date or two in South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Morocco and Ethiopia. None of the tours listed above had shows in Oceania outside of Australia or New Zealand. --- Thoughts? Any surprises? Edited July 15, 2022 by Kevin Parker
Kevin Parker Posted July 15, 2022 Author Posted July 15, 2022 Another fun fact: Other than Icelander Björk herself, P!nk is the only female to have toured Iceland

Donquizote Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 Just realized that BTW Ball would have been #1 with Shakira if she didn't cancel Indonesia.

Taylor Swift's most global tour was the Speak Now World Tour — 11 countries in Europe, 5 in Asia, 2 in North America and 2 in Oceania (20 in total). For her next tour, she visited 12 countries. The one after that, 11 countries. Her last tour offered shows in 7 countries in total.

GlamSlam Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 Now show each tour gross and how many dates they had. Madonna's Sticky and Sweet still remains the most successful female tour (grossing $408m with 85 dates)

And yes Sticky and Sweet is the highest-grossing ever. If I'm not mistaken only 6 or 7 from this list are among the highest-grossing ever. It's a known fact that "less" global tours make more money. 47 minutes ago, TheGreatestX said: Kylie's Aphrodite Tour should be included too It's true, thank you!
