Isn't that category only for DJs now? BMS would have been an easy Pop Solo nom. :skull:

No. Cher submitted Dancing Queen for Dance album in 2018 and Gaga submitted Alice for Dance Recording in 2020. Dua also submitted Hallucinate there

Also nice to see Cuff It, Plastic Off The Sofa and Virgo's Groove in R&B. The best songs on Renaissance!!!

I remember Gaga/Dua's submissions and I felt the same way too. It's just that I noticed the Dance category has become very snobby. It's been purely DJs over the last years. Even when Dua won it for Electricity it was with Silk City.

Unlike a decade ago when Gaga and Rihanna won it with Poker Face/Only Girl.

Columbia probably wants both Adele and Beyoncé to win in different genre categories.

and they got 0 noms, electronic dance categories are done awarding pop divas unless it’s a collab with big electronic act.

Poor Nicki. Super Freaky Girl was submitted for Best Pop Solo Performance. :lmao:

Posted

I see, so she knew she couldn't win in pop so she took a shortcut.

Who does she think she's fooling? :hoetenks:

I get it. Too many complaints about Bey taking up the r&b categories. But pop would make sense as well.
