Saint luv Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 The only performance I’m looking forward to is Mary and lizzo. I hope Jazmine takes home another Grammy too
dussel_06 Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 What time is the non-televised awards show?

aaron511 Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 I was thinking why is it that Rock, R&B, Rap, Country and some smaller genres like American Roots etc award both Performance and Song categories but for Pop we have Solo and Group/Duo instead Because of that many fantastic songs only get 1 shot at winning since they can only fall in one of those categories. And looking at the nominees from the last few years it often seems like many Group/Duo nominees are only there to fill the category but they don't actually deserve the recognition. Pop (and Jazz) is the only field where the categories are defined based on the number of performers. Like who cares They should change it for the next year
Uncatena Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 anyone know where I can’t stream the show in Germany?
Genius1111 Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 Rooting for ABBA to finally win something.
storminthedark Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 Not sure why people are saying the lineup/attendees are weak this year when it's arguably the strongest it's been in years. Adele Beyonce Jay Z Taylor Kendrick Bad Bunny Harry Lizzo (Miley?) SZA Coldplay Olivia Rodrigo Doja Cat Cardi B Sam Smith Steve Lacy + all the legends attending and performing (Mary J Blige, Fleetwood Mac, all the artists participating in the 50 years of Hip-Hop tribute like Missy, Busta Rhymes, Salt-N-Pepa, Jazzy Jeff, Grandmaster Flash etc etc)
RockStarShit101 Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 I’m excited for this and I’m rooting for everybody

Like who cares They should change it for the next year They have this discussion all the time on Goldderby. No one really knows why the Grammys are so reluctant to add a Best Pop Song category, but it would appear there's no industry demand for it? Like, there surely are enough pop songwriters in the Academy to lobby for that award, but either they aren't good at organizing themselves (maybe because many are also active in other genres?) or they somehow don't have enough influence in the Academy... The Latin Grammys added a Best Pop Song award in 2019, so such an award IS possible

Oktober Knight Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 For the first time ever, I'm more excited about the presenters and nominees than the performers
Ivan_brit Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 Do we know yet what awards will be presented at the main show?? There must be more than usual since there are not many performances this year
