But S2 and S3 (and S4 already) are spectacular, it is peak tv. S2 in particular is imo the best season of a show ever. So definitely keep watching, trust me you won't regret it. First season is the weakest, imo. I don't like Shiv because she was a c#nt to Tom, but she's the better choice.
