Elon was getting to popular among Trump's base so of course Trump is going to have a meltdown. Only he can be king.

I imagine that if Trump decides to run, he'll beat DeSantis, simply because primary voters are a different subset of general election voters. I think Trump has a tighter hold on the base while DeSantis would probably feel more comfortable for general election republicans and independents. In any case, Democrats will reach the 2022 midterms and the 2024 with a horrible economy, Republicans could run Jeb Bush on sleep medication and still win.

But it'd be super interesting to see Trump's meltdown if he were to lose the primary against DeSantis :eli: ... Someone could say it was rigged... Against him :eli:

that's actually an interesting take on this situation

he didn't like musk taking the spotlight on twitter with his followers while him being still banned from the app

It's 100% the scenario imo. That plus Elon said Trump needed to step down. Everything Trump does, thinks, and says comes from a place of his overinflated ego. He cannot stand any ounce of criticism or competition.

This is why when the Republican party chooses DeSantis over him in 2024, he's going to go on a rampage trying to destroy the Republican establishment.

Yes, and he'd win in a landslide if he gets nominated. But if Republicans choose him over Trump and Trump gets mad, Trump could take a good percentage of his base away from the Republican Party and run as a third party candidate. That would cripple the Reps and open the door for a GOOD Democrat nominee to win.

It’s like when the two villains in a movie turn on each other and destroy humanity.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this is all a stunt to get people to sign up for Truth, another failed Trump project.

Both garbage. Who gives af about trump in 2022 either way.

Take it from a Dem voter that Dems have ZERO chance of winning in 2024. Also, who's gonna be the candidate, Biden or Kamala :deadbanana2:? Next year we're fully entering a recession and that won't have changed much by the time the 2024 GE comes around. It's basically gonna be a 2008 all over again. Yes, Obama was a good candidate, but literally ANY Democrat would've won back in 2008. The Republican primary will decide the next president. There's zero chance that with a f-ed economy Democrats win any of the Iron Belt states(minus MN probably) and there's zero chance they repeat AZ or GA. Not to mention the fact that in such a bad cycle they could potentially lose Nevada or even Virginia.

I'm really not sure if DenSantis can beat Trump in a primary, primaries are different and I kinda get the feeling that even with all the goodwill he has gained from the Republican voters and media sphere, a personality like Trump is just way more popular and people at the end of the day vote for the people they like. So, even if it ends up being close, I think Trump would in the end. But I'm with you, I'm here for the mess if Trump loses the primary :eli:
