thetea Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 i really like it but by the time the last chorus hits, it feels a bit old. a great track though and the second verse is amazing
D.Va Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 Wait this cover isn't an edit ? Why is this not the one used on Apple Music ?
cockatoo Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 Jesus this is terrible I'm tired of artists using lazy samples of old hits where they just copy and paste the entire instrumental and just freestyle over the top (see Doja by Central Cee and Last Last by Burna Boy). Where is the creativity and innovation? If you're not going to add to or put a unique twist on a sample then simply don't use them. I can't wait for it to emerge that she didn't clear this Tracy Chapman style.

Some (ATRL) girls have absolutely no taste and need to stick to pop music. Imagine saying DWHAP and We Go Up are poor quality when they are objectively some of the best rap songs of the year ???? imabadkid Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 it’s ok. I predict it’ll be a p big hit though. ATRL and Twitter is the only places that seems to have such deep disdain for her. The gen z kids on TikTok love ha tbh

Someone had to say it that said you can’t really blame Nicki since the GP (with the tragic taste) clearly here for this Edited August 12, 2022 by enchanted0
ImsoLOUD Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 Love it as I thought I would. Musically speaking alone, she’s created a well structured song and that deserves props. Nicki Minaj, her mind, once again. First verse is probably my fav. I love how short it is as well, it’s not the type of song that needs to be long IMO. In this new “TikTok” era, peoples attention spans are in the toilet, songs 3 minutes and shorter are the future. Still do not think it was necessary to have previewed the snippet so far in advance, especially if there is no music video prepared. I am still not sure what the point of that was (besides generating hype that was bound to happen anyway). Really looking forward to the VMAS!!!
The Slayer Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 I enjoyed it, I thought it'd be better but it's good.

I think Nicki would prefer her pure rap songs to recieve the same, if not more attention. If I am not mistaken, she does not even like Anaconda? She would prefer her songs that hold more meaning to her, to be the most successful. But of course, the GP ultimately decides!
wildthaughts Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 Sounds ok but the sample outshines everything.
FameFatale Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 The random rap and flow change towards the end is giving there was supposed to be another feature but she did it herself.
