I’m not going to capitulate to your demands. I know who I am and I know my heart. I have often criticised JK Rowling for the transphobic things she has said. That does not mean every argument she makes is transphobic. I agree with her on some things. 

 

For instance, I believe trans women should not compete against cis-women in professional sports. Why? Because I believe there is a difference between sex and gender. I do not believe that it is possible to change your biological sex; Whereas, I do believe it possible to change your gender. Indeed, gender is a social construct designed by the patriarchy to keep people in their designated roles. 

 

If you’re a trans woman, I will call you a woman and I will use your preferred pronouns. I just draw a line at things like sport when the categories are based on biological sex. That’s all. 

 

That is now enough to be called transphobic and a TERF by extreme trans activists, which I find absolutely saddening. The majority of trans people agree with my sentiments and it’s a shame that isn’t expressed more in the media, because all the GP hear are the extremist viewpoints on either side.

Nothing in here is even talking about sports (I vehemently disagree with you there, but don't feel the need to get into it). I'm talking about your actual current actions.

Someone tweeted the other day that when someone decides to be transphobic, it becomes an all-encompassing facet of their life. Like, transphobes bring up trans people every day, all day long, and that's what we see with Rowling. It's all she seems to think about, she's obsessed with it.
