Age of consent in the street and legal age to pursue someone on line are different.

 

US laws ban any 18yo to use a computer in order to pursue sex.

 

And since most servers are under US jurisdiction, I’d be very careful in general:

 

I.e:  Technically, you can go to jail for saying or sending anything lewd to a 16/17yo on line. See Anthony Weiner and his tweets with 17yo that got him locked up.

i wasn't the one calling him hot and i have no interest in anyone under the age of ~20/21, but if the age of consent is 16 i think it's ok to at least express that
