well, as a previous satc fan, the movies and the reboot have helped towards ruining the legacy of the original show.

as a veronica mars fan, the movie and the reboot have helped towards ruining the legacy of the original show.

let's let mean girls stay untarnished.

the satc movies were successful tho, I doubt the studio regrets making them despite the second being critically panned. and I don't think they ruined its legacy per se, theres other factors involved but its still considered an extremely iconic show with a strong fanbase (to the point that recent new series is also relatively successful). and I think both projects you used as examples carry a different tone than a comedy like MG

Mean girls 2 already happened as well and was awful, only one character returned and it wasnt really a true sequel but still, it clearly didn't damage the first. it's just been so long, I dont see what could completely "ruin" anything esp when the success of MG has become bigger than the actual film, like the quotes or certain moments/scenes, characters, styling, they still live on outside the storyline

and this is all under the assumption the movie will be bad, nothing is stopping Tina Fey and others from coming up with something good - I think the main cast can deliver and there's clearly enough interest/popularity for it to succeed.

It really isn't, it's just a worse and less fashionable version of Clueless.

OT: Congrats!

Lmfao Clueless is decent but it's not even close to as good as the Iconic Mean Girls.

I wonder how much a mean girls sequel would make ? 100 million opening weekend?

:rip: Clueless is a classic but it barely has a plot and its styling somehow dates the movie infinitely more than Mean Girls (then again 00s fashion is also trendy so it's a bit hard to compare atm), plus the acting is almost atrocious at times - it's in no way superior to Mean Girls. MG is more comparable to Heathers than Clueless anyway

Karen is drunk and Mean Girls is a parody of teen films. Clueless is actually serious about a girl having a crush on her brother
